I Kool & the Gang sono un gruppo musicale statunitense. Si formarono nel 1964 a Jersey City, in New Jersey ed attraversarono diverse fasi nella loro carriera sperimentando vari generi musicali dal jazz al soul, dal funk alla disco. I primi album erano caratterizzati da un sound R&B e funk e in seguito ci fu anche un avvicinamento al genere fusion.
