Bowling For Columbine

Michael Moore directed and narrated the 2002 American documentary film, Bowling for Columbine. Based on the true story of the Columbine High School Massacre in 1999, Michael Moore wrote this story on the history of violence and guns within the environment and place of where this tragedy happened.

Winning numerous Academy Awards for the best documentary feature, Bowling For Columbine accumulated further recognition by winning the Independent Spirit Award, Cesar Award for the best foreign film along with an anniversary prize at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival. Bowling For Columbine is considered one of the most moving and true-life documentaries written over the last decade.

Matt Stone the Co-Creator of South Park, the National Rifle Associations president at the time of filming; Charlton Heston, along with Marilyn Manson the heavy metal musician shared their thoughts and experience whilst researching the storyline, wanting the truth to be written so that the World can see how the United States has the highest "violent" gun crime rates and massacre's within high schools that has ever been recorded.

Many young Americans take bowling classes instead of physical education, was the storyline's plot based around the popular meeting places for many gangs and the use of the bowling pins as practice targets. Within the movie Michael Moore showed how the American cultures view Guns as a normal way of life. Filming within a bank that promote that on depositing funds you will receive a free Weatherby hunting rifle as a gift for joining. The banks are deemed to encourage young individuals to obtain guns that have been used for revenge and gun crimes. There is no longer a certain look or feel of this underground world of crime, 80% of the massacres and gun crimes happening within schools across America are from middle-class homes and A class students.
